Book launch at Filwood Community Centre

We had a great celebration at Filwood Community Centre, Bristol last week to finish our Knowle West Tales interactive book-making project, using our Mayfly Photobooks app.

It was an exciting evening as each group participant eagerly awaited the moment to receive their printed books in front of an audience of friends, family and local residents.

Although some were nervous at first, they quickly relaxed into sharing snippets of stories from their books as laughter and applause rippled around the hall, while the audience heard an audio recording from each of the books that have been made.

The event also included the great unveiling of a bespoke bookshelf, which was designed and made by members of Filwood Community Centre, Hayley and Lucy, along with Suzie Davison, the Creative Project Coordinator at Filwood Community Centre and local project lead for Knowle West Tales.

The Knowle West Tales interactive books and blue bookcase will be popping up at forthcoming events at Filwood Community Centre and has already been very popular at their monthly market and crazy golf event. The project culmination coincides with the public launch of Mayfly Photobooks, which can be downloaded from the Apple app store and Google Play.
